We’re looking for a Junior Front End Developer to join our Tech Team team here in Aotearoa reporting to our Development Chapter Lead.

The CountdownX development chapter is a dynamic bunch of coders significantly impacting kiwis shopping experiences through NZ Whether we’re enhancing instore systems, bot technology or our online/mobile app, we are constantly testing boundaries to ensure a more connected customer experience.

About the Role | Mō te Tūranga

You’ll be the specialist across our front end framework and architectures, providing solutions to complex problems, with a best practice approach to software development. You will also be the master of web fundamentals and best practices in HTML, CSS, javascript, will have knowledge of API’s and a strong focus on working with Angular frameworks.

Leveraging your knowledge base with wider squads, you’ll be the expert accountable for all aspects of the software development lifecycle from design, development, testing through to deployment.

About You | Mōu

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Familiar with frontend technologies, build tools and package managers

  • Excellent knowledge in the following technologies: Angular, Javascript, Typescript, WebAPI (REST), SASS, CSS, HTML

  • You'll need to have excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Experience with Git & GitFlow

  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment and release management will be a bonus

  • Exposure to design patterns and principles

  • A willing team player that contributes to the success of the team

It would be advantageous if you had:

  • Experience working with an Agile team i.e. SCRUM, KANBAN

  • Experience working with micro-services

  • Experience with Azure

  • Experience with Elastic Search

  • Experience with .NET Core
